About the 1st・2nd COVID-19 Vaccine Doses

The COVID-19 special temporary vaccination period has been extended to March 31, 2024.
Those who would like to receive the Omicron-adapted vaccine should consider receiving the 1st and 2nd doses of the original vaccine as soon as possible.
You may receive the Omicron-adapted vaccine at least 3 months after you have received the first two doses of the original vaccine.
However, starting on May 8, 2023, the Omicron-adapted vaccine will only be available to those who are at a higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19.
Available Vaccines
- Pfizer Vaccine (monovalent: original strain)
(Note 1):
The standard vaccination interval between the 1st and 2nd dose is 3 weeks.
(Note 2):
Vaccinations with the Moderna Vaccine (monovalent: original strain) were discontinued on February 11, 2023.
How to Make a Reservation
You may book your vaccination by making a reservation directly through a medical institution.
Please note that not all institutions may be able to support foreign languages.

If you are hard of hearing and have difficulty booking an appointment for your vaccine, please feel free to visit the COVID-19 Consultation Desk, located at the Exhibition Place for International Friendship on the 1st floor of the Tokushima City Hall.
