Methods of disposal
Ask retailers for collection
- Ask the retailer where you originally purchased the item to collect it.
- Ask the retailer where you are purchasing a replacement to collect the item.
- When you are unable to get the assistance of a retailer, ask any shop on the Tokushima Electrical and Commercial Association list (Denki Shogyo Kumiai). For information about these shops, please call the association at 088-653-0373.
Consumers are required to pay the recycling and moving fee. Retailers will send the appliances to the manufacturers, and the manufacturers will recycle them. (Fees vary with companies and shops. Contact retailers for details.)
Move the items by yourself
- Confirm the maker or company of the item that you are disposing of.
- Pay the fee for recycling at a post office. (You will be charged another fee for sending money.)
- You will receive a “recycle ticket” in exchange for the fee. Attach the ticket to the item.
- Transfer the item to the designated collection spot.
