Beware of Heat Stroke
High temperatures and humidity can impair the body’s ability to regulate temperature. Among the people who call for emergency transportation due to a heat stroke, about 40% are hospitalised, which may also result in death if the condition worsens. Caution is particularly required with elderly people as their body’s response to reduce its temperature becomes weak, which is why it is easier to get a heat stroke without realising.
Every year in Tokushima City as well, there are suspected cases of death due to heat stroke, so please be careful.
